Mainspring PDX

Portland, OR

Personal care products like soap, toothpaste, and laundry soap for people most in need. May require referrals. Food boxes are available monthly.

The Mainspring food pantry is an equal opportunity provider that is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00am to 1:00pm by self referral. The first Thursday of every month is on-site Senior food day from 7:00-10:00am- participants must be pre-registered for this program. Our regular food pantryis a grocery model style pantry. This means you will be able to select your own grocery items from the pantry, with the help of a volunteer who will be on hand to answer any questions. Your selections may be made according to your household size, dietary needs and preferences. Please bring bags for your food if you have access to them. We keep a limited supply of bags on hand.

You may access our food pantry 12 times per year.

Please remember to bring your re-usable grocery bags if you have them, as we are often times short on bags and boxes.

The clothing closet at Mainspring is open Monday through Thursday 10:00am to 1:00pm. We will be adding Wednesday evening hours soon! We ask that you check in for clothing no later than 12:45 pm to ensure that you have adequate time to make your clothing selections.

If you would like to visit our clothing closet you may do so 12 times per year. The amounts and types of clothing we offer is dependent upon the donated clothing inventory we have on hand. All clothing is donated to Mainspring.

Mainspring offers a Restorative Justice Program through the Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington County Courts. Adjudicated youth and adults can complete their community service hours at Mainspring. We provide guidance, mentorship, vocational training and an opportunity to provide services to our community. We also work with youth and adults that have been adjudicated in other States and Counties on a case by case referral basis. For more information please call Gabrielle Mercedes Bolívar at 503-233-5533 x100 or Kyle Urban at 503-233-5533X101 or email gbolivar@mainspringpdx.org or kurban@mainspringpdx.org to schedule a meeting (initial meetings can be done over the phone).
