University District Food Bank

Seattle, WA

While we primarily serve residents of zip codes 98102, 98103, 98105, 98112, 98115, and 98125, all are welcome.

Walk-In food bank:
When visiting, please bring a photo I.D. with you each time. On your first visit with us, please also bring a current proof of address (mail received at the address within the past 30 days, rent receipt, utility bill, cable bill, etc).

Proof of address requirement waived for those who are currently unsheltered.

Come to the food bank when it is convenient for you. We don’t run out of food during the week, so it isn’t necessary to arrive before we open for the day or earlier in the week.

Home Delivery:
Do you live in our service area, but find it physically difficult to get to the food bank and bring home the food you need? Does your advancing age, medical condition, or physical disability prevent you from accessing the food bank at all? Do you not have a family member, friend, or neighbor who could come in to the food bank and shop on your behalf? If this is the case, our home delivery service might be able to help you out.

Pack for Kids:
Proper nutrition for a growing child is very important in their development. Hungry children have decreased attention spans, increased behavioral problems, and more school absences due to sickness. Simply put, hungry children may risk falling behind academically due to a lack of resources. Free meals in school certainly help, but can only support these students Monday through Friday. For assurance these students will have food for the weekend, our Packs for Kids program can provide this extra support.

Food Stamp Enrollment:
Every month, thousands of Seattle families struggle with access to healthy food. If you’re one of those families, we can make that struggle a little easier. While the food we offer in our walk-in food bank can make a huge difference, we know that there are other important resources that can help you too. Food stamps are one of these resources, and we can help you sign up for them.

We are always closed on the following holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day plus the Friday afterward, and Christmas Day

Please always verify information with the organization itself.
