Woodland Action Center
Woodland, WA
Offers Emergency Supplies, Thrift Store, Food Pantry and Housing Support
Emergency Supplies for Under-Resourced:
Woodland Action provides clothing and household items for our unsheltered clients. We also maintain a supply of personal care and grooming items (such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, first aid, and so forth).
We are actively engaged in meeting the needs of the most vulnerable populations in the community and in the larger conversation about the community response to homelessness. We participate in the Woodland Homeless Forum Facebook group and have been designated by both Clark and Cowlitz County to conduct the annual Point in Time (PIT) count for those experiencing homelessness in our area.
We gladly accept donations for the following to be placed in the emergency inventory:
- socks
- gloves
- boots
- tents
- sleeping bags
- backpacks
- funds to purchase any items above
Pantry: Saturdays 11am - 5pm
Woodland Action’s core program is distribution of healthy food, personal hygiene, and household items to low-income individuals and families. Our service area includes Clark County - Woodland, La Center, Yacolt, Amboy and Cowlitz County - Woodland, Ariel, Yale, Cougar & Kalama.
Thrift Store: Tue, Thurs & Sat 11am-4pm
Donations accepted Sat 11:30-3:30pm
The Woodland Action Thrift & Gift Store is a nonprofit thrift store supporting the operational costs of Woodland Action Food Bank & Community Service programming. With the development of job skills training programs, we have enhanced job readiness for those with employment barriers by training thrift store volunteers how to work in retail, as well as the basics of cashiering. Our state-of-the-art register system allows for easy training and seamless customer engagement and tracking.
Housing Support:
Woodland Action, in collaboration with the City of Woodland, provide emergency help to low-income citizens of the city. Through income verification, one-on-one meetings with a Navigator, and an application process, we offer:
- Short-term rental assistance
- Emergency support for shelter
- Emergency overnight shelter
- First and last months rent and/or security deposit
Funding is based on case by case evaluation, with priority given to victims of abuse residing inside city limits.
